Ariel Hendel

Prior to Scala Computing, in 2023, Ariel was hired by Intel as the CTO of the NEX Cloud Computing Group, with the Silicon Architecture and Modeling teams reporting to him.
Since 2020 Ariel’s focus has been ML Training Fabrics, first as a cofounder and Chief Architect at Enfabrica Corp, a fabless semiconductor startup, and in the technical and business leadership of Scala Computing until 2023, taking the vision of a multi-vendor cloud hosted ML training simulation platform at Data Center scale to production as a vertical SAAS offering.
Before 2020, Ariel spent four transformational years at Facebook (now Meta) where he tackled a multitude of long term and immediate needs of Network Infrastructure, including flattening the Data Center networks, server network interface systems, and heterogeneous compute systems.
Ariel arrived at Broadcom in 2008 to help the switch BU tackle the then emerging Cloud Data Center space and spent eight years operating as the “Data Center guru” for Broadcom’s switch Architecture group. Ariel earned the Distinguished Engineer rank sequentially at Sun Microsystems and at Broadcom Corporation.
Ariel holds a bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering form from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University (Brooklyn Poly).
