Privacy

What this site records, and what it does not.

This is a marketing website with no account system. The only thing it collects is anonymous traffic measurement, and this page says exactly what that covers.

Traffic measurement, through Google Analytics.

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. When you open a page it records the page address and title, the page you arrived from, your approximate location, and basic details of your browser and device. It also generates a random identifier for your browser so that three pages read in one visit are counted as one visit rather than three people.

Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses. Your address is used to derive approximate location and is then discarded rather than logged.

These records are kept for fourteen months and then deleted automatically.

We do not ask for your name, your email address or your employer anywhere on this site, and nothing above identifies you personally to us. The contact page is the one place you can choose to tell us who you are.

Two, both set by the analytics tag.

Nothing else on the site sets a cookie. There is no advertising cookie and no third-party cookie.

  • _ga

    What it is for
Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people.

  • _ga_<stream id>

    What it is for
Keeps session state for the analytics property, so a visit is recorded as one session rather than several.

The things a marketing site is often assumed to do, and this one does not.

  • No advertising, remarketing or conversion tracking. The site carries no ad network tags.

  • No cross-site tracking. The cookies above are first-party and are not shared with other sites.

  • No sale or sharing of visitor data with anyone.

  • No accounts, no login, and no password on this site.

  • No session recording, heatmaps, scroll tracking or form-field capture.

Google Signals, which would add demographic reporting and tie activity across devices to a signed-in Google account, is switched off on the analytics property.

Three ways, none of which need us.

Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops the tag reporting from any site you visit, not only this one.

Block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings. The analytics tag depends on them, so blocking them stops the measurement.

Use any content blocker. The tag loads from a well-known address that every major blocker already recognizes, and the site is built to work normally when it is blocked.

Ask, and we will answer.

If you want to know what we hold, or want it deleted, use the contact page. Because the site collects nothing that identifies you, a deletion request is normally answered by telling you there is nothing held against your name.
